maaaaaaaybe. I happened to read a nifty article on a christian perspective on time by dorothy sayers this morning: Strong Meat. I read it from the book, letters to a diminished church. She argues against the struggle against aging and putting faith in progress.

No, Nick. This means that the assignments you believe waste time actually create more of it. By the way, you wouldn't have any particular professor's assignments in mind, now would you?

may I reserve the right to decide which assigments are a waste of time? Or may I argue that time is relative as I turn the assignment in late?

Thank you Doug for encouraging me to ponder the celebration of the birth of our Lord. I remember that expecting a new born definitely invoked pondering in my heart. What a beautiful picture for Advent, to move through these four weeks as an expectant mother waiting for the Savior of the World to come. I am going to pray that I can view this celebration of His birth with the expectation and pondering of a new mother. As we are expecting our children, I believe parents indeed ponder what and how their children will contribute to the world and anticipate their own role in helping their children reach their full potential. During this Advent, let us consider what changes Christ's coming will bring to the world today and what role we are to play in seeing His vision lived out on the earth.
