Thank you Doug for encouraging me to ponder the celebration of the birth of our Lord. I remember that expecting a new born definitely invoked pondering in my heart. What a beautiful picture for Advent, to move through these four weeks as an expectant mother waiting for the Savior of the World to come. I am going to pray that I can view this celebration of His birth with the expectation and pondering of a new mother. As we are expecting our children, I believe parents indeed ponder what and how their children will contribute to the world and anticipate their own role in helping their children reach their full potential. During this Advent, let us consider what changes Christ's coming will bring to the world today and what role we are to play in seeing His vision lived out on the earth.
